If you follow me on Facebook (which is relatively new and I would love if you joined us!) or Instagram, you may have seen the carrot and apple juice/smoothie thing that I was drinking today. Growing up I LOVED carrot juice. So much so that my aunt would drop off a case of it every few weeks. As far as I can remember no one else in my family really drank it but I was obsessed. I love that it’s slightly sweet, and this drink with the addition of an apple is a great switch-up from the green juice that I normally have throughout the day.
Here is the basic recipe!
2 large carrots, peeled
1 large fuji apple (or any other sweet apple– you can peel it or not)
1 cup of water if blending, none if juicing (more or less depending on your desired consistency)
Blend, blend, blend in a blender. Blending leaves it a bit chunky. Or juice, juice, juice in a juicer. Juicing makes it smooth. If you do juice, you can double the recipe to make a bit more juice.
Ta~da! A delicious and nutritious drink.
